Detailed Guide to PDF Editing Features

1

Direct Inline Text Modification

Launch PDF4QT Editor and open the PDF file you wish to modify:
1. Click the "Edit" mode button in the toolbar.
2. Double-click the text paragraph you want to modify; the cursor will appear.
3. Edit, insert, or delete text just like in Microsoft Word. You can also adjust font style, weight, size, and fill color in the right-side properties panel.

2

Add New Elements: Text, Images & Multimedia

Add information anywhere on the page:
Insert Text: Select the "Add Text" tool in the toolbar, click and drag to draw a text box anywhere on the page, and type in English or other content directly.
Insert Images: Select the "Insert Image" tool, choose a local PNG, JPG, or BMP image, and adjust its size, rotation, and placement on the page.
Embed Multimedia: Place 3D models, audio/video files, or hyperlinks at specified locations in the PDF document to create interactive multimedia documents.

3

Erase Sensitive Data with Private Physical Redaction

Before sharing confidential documents, if there are financial figures, ID numbers, or other sensitive details to hide:
1. Choose the "Sensitive Information Physical Redaction" tool (black square icon).
2. Select the text or image area to be erased. The area will be covered with a solid black overlay (or a custom pattern).
3. Save the document. This redaction is physically applied, permanently erasing the data from the underlying character stream, meaning it cannot be recovered or selected by the receiver.

4

Create & Fill PDF Interactive Forms

PDF4QT Editor supports a comprehensive form editing system. You can add radio buttons, checkboxes, single/multi-line text fields, combo boxes, and submit buttons directly to the page. This is extremely useful for generating standard questionnaires, application forms, and data collection documents.

5

Advanced Layout Formatting (Watermarks, Backgrounds, Page Numbers)

Under "Page Layout", you can add custom watermarks to the entire PDF or to specific page ranges, or change the page background to a solid color or image. It also supports batch inserting consistent page numbers and document titles into headers or footers.
