3
Formulas & Charts
4
Export & Publish
Step 1

Open Application & Main Interface

Double-click the icon to launch MarkText, and you will be greeted by an extremely elegant borderless editor window. Click the "Folder" icon on the left to open your local project folder and manage all your Markdown documents using the directory tree.

Tip: Click the gear icon in the lower-left corner or press Ctrl + , to directly open Preferences to customize your appearance and shortcuts.

💻
Step 2

Write Standard Markdown Content

Thanks to MarkText's "seamless live preview" engine, you don't need to toggle between source code and preview mode. Type bold, italics, or headers (H1-H6), and the system will render them into beautiful styling the instant you hit Space or Enter.

Type # Header Name and press Enter to instantly create an H1 header, or type **Bold Text** to make it highlighted bold.

# This is an H1 Header
This is a paragraph. MarkText supports **bold text** and `inline code`.
// The live preview engine will render the above markdown markers directly.
Step 3

Insert LaTeX Formulas & Mermaid Diagrams

MarkText is academic and engineering friendly. It integrates KaTeX and Mermaid parsing engines, allowing you to fluidly input complex math equations or directly draw various flowcharts and sequence diagrams inside the editor.

Type double dollar signs and press Enter $$ to open the math equation editor. Type ```mermaid to launch the Mermaid canvas.

```mermaid
B --> C{Export & Publish}
```

Once you finish writing, you can easily share your document. MarkText supports high-precision document exporting with customizable headers, footers, and margins, instantly generating beautiful PDF ebooks or structured HTML webpages.
