SP Information Technology Index constituents, index composition, weighted stock compilation

Currently, it seems that a disadvantage of the S&P Information Technology Index is that it does not include Google (Alphabet Inc., GOOGL, GOOG). Why do I say that?

In this round of AI competition, NVIDIA is very strong, but Google is also a formidable competitor to NVIDIA. NVIDIA accounts for 20%, but Google is not included in the S&P Information Technology Index at all, which is completely unreasonable.

As the infrastructure for humanity worldwide, something that everyone uses daily, Google is竟然 not included in the index.

However, in the S&P 500 index, Google is generally included in the S&P 500 index.

Moreover, in the Nasdaq 100 index, Google is also included as a constituent stock of the index.

This is somewhat regrettable for the S&P Information Technology Index.

Interestingly, the returns of Nasdaq 100 index funds generally underperform the performance of the S&P Information Technology Index, which is quite strange.
